During the 3–4-hour birdwatching session, look out for species such as crested cranes, Egyptian geese, storks, kingfishers, hornbills, bee-eaters, and many other resident and migratory birds that thrive in the park’s wetlands and savannah ecosystems.
After lunch and a short rest, continue to one of the highlights of the safari: an afternoon Nile River boat cruise toward the base of the dramatic Murchison Falls.
The cruise provides excellent opportunities to photograph crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffaloes near the riverbanks, and numerous aquatic bird species including kingfishers, cormorants, herons, and fish eagles.
As the boat approaches the falls, the sound of rushing water grows louder, creating one of Uganda’s most dramatic natural experiences.

Your guide will help you track bird calls while identifying unique forest species hidden among dense canopies and woodland clearings.
Throughout the day, explore trails and forest edges while searching for species such as the chocolate-backed kingfisher, white-thighed hornbill, blue-breasted kingfisher, dwarf kingfisher, francolins, and various forest birds unique to this habitat.
