Day 1

Arrival in Kigali – Kigali City Experience

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, enjoy VIP meet-and-greet services including fast-track airport assistance, visa support, and luggage handling before meeting your professional safari guide.

Transfer to your hotel to freshen up and relax. Early check-in can be arranged subject to availability and additional cost. Depending on arrival time, begin exploring Kigali, one of Africa’s cleanest and safest cities, accompanied by your private guide and vehicle.

Visit vibrant local markets, art galleries, and the moving Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you gain a deeper understanding of Rwanda’s history, resilience, and transformation. Entrance is included.

After breakfast, check out and begin your scenic drive north toward Volcanoes National Park in Musanze, a journey through Rwanda’s famously scenic “Land of a Thousand Hills.”

As you travel, admire breathtaking landscapes featuring coffee plantations, banana farms, terraced hillsides, villages, and vibrant daily life.

The drive offers insight into rural Rwanda and provides excellent opportunities for photography and cultural observation.

Gorilla Trekking Experience – Volcanoes National Park

Wake up early for breakfast before transferring to the park headquarters for your gorilla trekking briefing inside Volcanoes National Park.

After registration and safety orientation, begin one of the world’s most remarkable wildlife experiences — trekking endangered mountain gorillas in their natural rainforest habitat. Accompanied by expert ranger guides, you hike through misty volcanic slopes searching for your assigned gorilla family.

The trek duration varies depending on gorilla movement and can range from one to several hours.

Once located, you are granted a magical one full hour observing the gorillas at close range as they feed, groom, interact, and care for young members.

A complimentary porter assists with your backpack and difficult terrain while also supporting local community livelihoods.

Return to your lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon resting and reflecting on this unforgettable wildlife encounter before dinner and overnight stay.

Golden Monkey Trekking – Return to Kigali

Following an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on your exciting golden monkey trekking experience inside Volcanoes National Park.

Guided by rangers, trek through bamboo forest and volcanic terrain searching for lively golden monkeys, famous for their energetic behavior and beautiful golden-orange fur.

Along the trek, enjoy sightings of forest birds, flowers, and occasional other primates while learning about Rwanda’s forest ecosystems.

After the experience, return to the lodge for lunch before beginning the scenic drive back to Kigali. Upon arrival, transfer to Kigali International Airport or your hotel for onward travel.
